Bik van der Pol is the artists duo Liesbeth Bik and Jos van der Pol, who have worked together since 1994 as conceptual artists and installation artists. They started working together in 1994-95 in Rotterdam, where they have worked ever since. Liesbeth and Jos explore the potential of knowledge transmission, researching methods of how to activate situations to create a platform for various kinds of communication.
Liesbeth and Jos have exhibited their work in various museums and art venues, such as Manifesta 1 (1996), Secession, Vienna (2005), Istanbul Biennale (2007), Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam (2007), Van Abbe Museum, Eindhoven (2008), CCA Glasgow (2009), 10th Lyon Biennial (2009), Macro museum, Rome (2010), and São Paulo Bienale (2014)
